Why Use Sunblock

Why should you use sunblock?

The first thing you should ask yourself is, why not use sunblock? Sunblock keeps us protected from many natural elements that can do damage to our skin.  The most damaging element we encounter in life is the sun.  The sun gives off harmful ultraviolet rays that do direct damage to our skin.  Sometimes the damage is instant, and sometimes it is added over a long period of time and gradually gets worse.  Wrinkles are a big problem for people who are overexposed to the sun.  Not even the best wrinkle cream can make wrinkles go away forever.

Here are some common sense uses of sunblock that most people take for granted:

  • Prevent sunburn.  A good sunburn, applied often, can prevent sunburn.
  • Premature Aging.  Wrinkles and what people call “leather skin” appear much more rapidly without sunblock.
  • Decrease risk of skin cancer.  A sunblock can decrease the risk of skin cancer.  That should be reason enough.

Of course, sunblock is definitely worth the small price in investment and the few minutes it takes to apply to the skin.  When used properly, a sunscreen can be an intricate part of an anti-aging skin care routine.
